A Mother's Thanks
Hi, my name is Susan and my son Scott attends pre-school.
Recently when I went to pick Scott up, the teachers told me he had a gift. Scott's birthday had been the day before, so I thought one of the other parents had brought in a gift for him. I opened the bag and found the most beautiful hand made blanket I have ever seen! His name was even stitched on the top. The teachers then told me that some very loving people had made blankets for all the children.
The past two years have been very hard on my sons and me. I will not go into detail, but I have been losing faith in humanity lately, feeling rather pessimistic about a lot of things.
Receiving this gift for my son has brought a bit of light into our lives. I know it is only a blanket, but to have someone care about a child who is a complete stranger to them enough to knit such a beautiful blanket, well I was overwhelmed!
Thank you, whoever you are, for taking time out of your life to do something so sweet for my son. He may not appreciate the gravity of the gesture right now, but I do, and he loves his new soft blankie!!
